Frugal Blog Roll

There are some excellent scholarly bloggers out there belonging to the Higher University of frugality, and I would like to highlight a few that I would consider are must-reads:

Jim Collins, a Professor Emeritus in ‘F U Monney’*, where now at the age of 61 he explains to us juniors his philosophies on how being frugal has provided him with financial freedom through his life.

Early Retirement Extreme, who holds a Ph.D. in the ‘Advanced Mathematics of Frugality’*, and is one of the first of the frugal-based bloggers. The ERE site has over 900 articles on Frugality as well as a popular Forum for you to participate in.

Mr Money Mustache. Mr Money Mustache has a Ph.D.* in ‘Badassity’, face punching his wastefulness away, allowing him to retire at aged 30! It is a fun blog to read, with more than 300 articles that pull no punches on how to remove all the waste in your life, to massively reduce your spending and allowing you to retire decades early than the average Joe. I would highly recommend his blog, as many of the articles are a completely riveting read.

The Mad Fientist. A relatively newbie into the Frugal University, with an M.Sc. in Frugal Communication Studies*, he provides some wonderful Podcast-based interviews from the Professors of Frugal Finance.

* Please note: All degrees awarded are honorary and tongue in cheek from the ‘University of Frugality’.
